Akala: I Lost An Elder Brother, Political Associate – Saharadeen Alli

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Oloye Sharafadeen Alli on Wednesday described the late former governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala as a brother and policical associate who has contributed greatly to the development of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

He said Akala was a leader and boss with pure heart and generous instinct.

Sharafadeen Alli who stated this in a condolence message he personally signed said the political family in the state would miss the leadership qualities of the former governor.

According to him, the death of the former governor is a major setback for the APC but however urged members to maintain their steadfastness in the face of the mourning.

“This is a rude shock to me. I was close to Otinba Akala and I am down as I send this condolence message. I know our moves during our polical sojourn in 2015 when I contested as his running mate in 2015. We were friends, brothers, and political associates.

“He was generous with pure heart. Akala committed the state resources to human and state development. Since he was appointed as a leader of our dear state, Akala has been making efforts to reposition our party. We all missed him,” he said.
