Oyo Commisioner Commends Women For Their Roles During Covid-19

The Oyo state commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusions, Alhaja Fausat Joke Sanni has commended Nigeria women for their roles during the covid-19 pandemic.

She advised them to make positive impact, especially in training their children.

The commissioner who made the commendation at the 2021 commemoration of International Women’s Day held at Pentonrise, Awolowo avenue, Bodija Ibadan asked women to equip themselves professionally, and educationally.

Speaking on the theme; “Achieving an Equal future in a COVID-19 world” the Commisioner said: “the theme is to celebrate the tremendous effort of our women around the world, shapes our future and to facilitate our recovering from the pandemic.

“It should be re-affirmed that Women’s position is sensitive as they stand at the front lines of COVID-19 crises. Many of them served as health workers, caregivers, innovators, Community organizers as well as taking leadership roles in the society during Covid-19.

In her own address, the president of Medical women Association of Nigeria, Dr. Olusola Taiwo Omolara enlightened women on how to prevent themselves from breast and cervical cancer.

The president of Federation of lawyers (FIDA) Oyo state chapter, Mrs Deborah Collins advised women to avoid things that can hindered them from being leader.
