Oyo Government Commends Orphanage Home Owners

 

The wife of Oyo state Governnor Engineer Mrs olufunke Tamunomini Makinde has commended the owners of the various orphanage homes and caregivers for the efforts made to ensure that children of their home are well taken care of.

She made this known during the two-day visit and 2021 Easter Outreach to the orphanage homes across the State.

First lady also advised the vulnerable children at both Private and State-owned homes, that despite their challenges, there is hope and assurance of life for them to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.

She also enjoined the homes to use the gift items such as foodstuff, toiletries, and cash effectively to attend to the needs of the children and homes.

The First Lady, therefore, lauded the present administration under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, for supporting the office of the First Lady to make the year 2021 Easter outreach a reality.

In their separate remarks, the founders of the visited orphanage homes, explained that their homes were set up to respond to the multiple needs of children and youths, both in rural and urban centres especially, vulnerable, orphan and children in conflict with the law or exposed to gender-based violence.

They commended the wife of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Makinde for her kind gesture towards their homes not on Easter day alone but at all times.

 

Someme of the homes visited were Jesus Children Mission Outreach, new bodija, Ibadan, Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Persons, Temidire, Moniya, Ibadan, His Grace Restoration and Rehabilitation Centre, Ilora, Oyo, Child Gospel Mission Home, Ogbomoso, Nigerian Training Centre for the Blind Persons, Ogbomoso, Juvenile Institution Correctional, Ijokodo, Ibadan, Child Care Unit, Ijokodo, Ibadan, La vie MOT Global Mission Home, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Nazareth Home, Oluwo, New Ife Express Road, Ibadan, and Dorcas Adunola Oyedeji Home, New Ife Road, Ibadan.

In present are some dignitaries from ministry of women affairs, Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Olufunmilayo Orisadeyi and other political office holders.
