Makinde Successfully Killed LG Administration, APM Guber Candidate Alleges

The gubernatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement(APM) in Oyo state, Adeniran Oluwaseye on Thursday alleged that the governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde has successfully killed local government administration in the state.
He urged anti graft agencies to prepare special apartment for Makinde and the local government chairmen who in their folly supporting legality of governor.
The party candidate who stated this in a statement issued by his media aide, Comrade Tosin Ambode said it is unbelievable that no local government in the state has been able to tarred a kilometre of road in the last three years.
According to the statement, it is painful when Makinde and his supporters go air to reel out fake figures as their achievements in the last four years.
He said the Local Government administration in Oyo State continues to suffer meaningful development because the State Governor is busy appropriating funds meant to the develop grassroots for his cronies.
Oluwaseye asked residents to conduct investigations on the activities of the local government administration in the state and see the rot therein, which is the courtesy of the governor of the state, Seyi Makinde.
The party flag bearer said he was worried over billions of naira expended on some worthless projects that did not emanate from the Chairmen, for which they were asked to request for their contractual agreement.
He noted that despite the monthly allocations from the federation account, no reasonable development is taking place in the council in the state.
The statement therefore advised the people of the state to support the party in 2023 so as to make the local government administration more functional and accountable for the people.

In a swift reaction, the publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Akeem Olatunji said the party is not in existence in the state, saying those parading themselves as a member of the party are attention seeker.

“We don’t want to reply their senseless and reckless statements. They are only seeking for attention. We have gone beyond that.”
