Eid-al Fitri: Shina Peller Urges All To Pray For Nigeria

A member of House of Representatives, representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Shona Peller has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and Eid-al Fitri celebration.
The lawmaker in a statement issues by his media aide, Kola Popoola enjoined all to pray for peace in Nigeria.
According to him, the last one month has been a soul-purifying one for most of Nigerians, by engaging Allah days and nights through prayers and seeking forgiveness of sins and misdeeds.
The statement reads:”I congratulate fellow Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of 2021 Ramadan fasting, and on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr that is being observed globally.
“The last one month has been a soul-purifying one for most of us, as we engaged our creator days and nights praying and seeking His forgiveness of our sins and misdeeds. It was also a month in which we constantly engaged in one form of good deeds or another. Now that Ramadan is over, we must not withdraw from doing so.
“Importantly, as we celebrate this year Eid-al Fitri, let us remember to pray for peace to reign in our land; it is not enough for us to pray only, we must be ready to speak, act and relate with one another peacefully irrespective of our differences.
“Peaceful coexistence is required for us to progress as a country; there can never be development where there is no peace. We need peace in our land, and to achieve this, we must be tolerant of one another. Treat others the way you will like to be treated, and  we will achieve a more peaceful society.
“Once again, Eid Mubarak to us all. May we witness many more of it on earth. Ameen.”
