Eid-el-Kabir: Oyo NNPP Chieftain, Olopoeyan Felicitate Muslims, Urges Oyo Residents To Get  PVCs

The Southwest leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan has felicitated with Oyo state Muslims as they join others to celebrate Eid-el Kabir, and urged residents to go and collect their Permanent Voter’s Card it doesn’t have or missing.

Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan made the call on Saturday morning after observing his Eld prayer at Agodi Muslim praying ground in Ibadan

” I congratulate the Muslim faithful, we thank Almighty Allah for giving us the privilege to witness this year Eid-el-Kabir, the significance of Eid-el-Kabir revolves around the virtues of faith, trust, sacrifice, and belief, I, therefore, urged the Muslim faithful to live peacefully with others.

Moreover, I advise all residents to get their PVC ready for the next election, the Permanent Voter Card ( PVC), is the only power the electorate can use to vote for the credible candidates of their choices, ”The PVC is a very potent weapon to either vote in or vote out any candidates seeking to occupy any elective offices.

“Without an individual voter’s card, one would not be able to exercise his due constitutional responsibility of casting his or her vote in the nation’s electoral process.”

The Monarch, therefore, admonished the people of the state and indeed Nigerians to strive to collect the PVCs as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is still registering and distributing new voter cards.

He reiterated the importance of the voter card, saying it could not be over-emphasized in the socio-economic development of the country, hence the need for eligible sons and daughters of the area to register.
