NSCDC Parades Rapist, Charge Parents On Safeguarding Minors

“Molestation of female child must stop, this is Barbaric on our minors”. This was the statement of the state commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Dr Michael Adaralewa today at the state command Headquarters of the Corps at Agodi, Ibadan.

Commandant Michael Adaralewa made the statement after the arrest of one Isiaka Hammed, a native of Saare Ilorin Kwara State, Age 39 for defiling a minor, age 11 years on 9th of August 2023 at his residence at Osungbade area of Molete Ibadan.

The suspect who admitted to the crime made it known that he raped the girl when her mother who sells food within the neighborhood asked the child to give him Isiaka soup at home and forced the girl and defiled her.

It takes the quick response of Anti Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the command to arrest the suspect at Popo area of Ibadan South West on 17th of the month after the mother of the girl reported the case to NSCDC.

Commandant Michael Adaralewa later used the medium to appeal to parent and guardians to always protect their children, especially the female child in other not to be victim of the wicked ones around.

He stated further that the case would be charged to court after the conclusion of the investigation, and enjoined the public to always furnish the corps with credible information whenever they see anything unlawful in their vicinity. “If you see something, always say something” he charged.
