Ex-Oyo Assembly Whip, Murphy Donates Sewing Machines To Best Graduating Students Of CIADEC

A former Chief Whip of the Oyo state House of Assembly Hon. Abiodun Adigun-Hammed on Sunday donated two brand new sewing machines for the best graduating students of the Centre for Initiative Against Destitution and Crime (CIADEC), in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
CIADEC at it’s graduation ceremony held at the Akinyele Local Government area of the state produced students in Fashion Technology.
Speaking with oyoecho on the rationale behind the gesture, the former lawmaker said he has been doing such empowerment programmes even before he was elected as a member of the state assembly.
According to him, there is a need for well-to-do Nigerians to support the less privileged in the country.
Adigun said; “this is not the first time we are doing it. I have a foundation which usually care for the less privileged in my little way. It is always my pleasure to support my people.
“We shall continue to support the less privileged in our own little way. I am always pleased to see people hustling for their end meet and that is why I provided a machines for the best graduating students of the college.
“I am now calling on all politicians to learn how to support our people. Either we are in office or not, we need to support our people, especially in this critical time that is very hard for people to sustain.”
