Sport Administrator Writes Makinde, Alleges Ogunwuyi, Fakorede, Others Hijack His N52million Project

An Ibadan-based sport administrator, and the chairman of Oluwajuwon Fitness Ventures, Mr. Oluguna Juwon has written a Save Our Soul letter to the Oyo State governor Engr. Seyi Makinde over a recent alleged hijack of his project by the govenor’s aides.

The govenor’s aides who hijacked the projects according to Juwon are Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Olawale Abdle-Mojeed Mogbonjubola, the Youths and Sport Commissioner, Seun Fakorede, and the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals, Mr. Kunle Yusuff.

According to the Sport Administrator, he offered his Sport platform which is Oluwajuwon Fitness Ventures in conjunction with Clementina Gym to organise a Military and Paramilitary Games in Oyo State so as to foster unity between the Military and Paramilitary forces in Oyo State.

The Sport Administrator said all his attempts to seek attention of those involved in the matter was proved abortive as they were not ready to entertain any meeting with him.

He urged the Governor to intervene in the matter and ensure justice is served and anyone working against his interest are brought to book

He said; “I submitted a proposal and even did comprehensive presentations to the commissioner for Youths and Sports and the Chief Of Staff to the Governor and Myself and my team were advised by both the Chief of Staff and the Commissioner to reduce the quoted figures and amount and to also remove some things from the proposal and these we did without delay.”

Juwon said he was going about his private businesses when his attention was drawn to a release of activities outlined for Independence Day Celebration by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports and part of the outlined activities included the exact idea he shared with them.

The sport administrator further said the concept he shared with both Seun Fakorede and Hon SEGUN Ogunwuyi was used as part of the activities for independence celebrations 2022 without seeking his consent.
He noted that his investigations revealed to him that the money approved by the Governor has been released and disbursed and used by some people in government, but however regretting sharing the full concept with those involved without reserving anything.

“I feel very bad, cheated, hurt, concerned and bothered and also very angry. Many people told me Hon. Seun Fakorede usually hijack ideas and creative concepts of people! They told me mine won’t be the first but I am hoping that this will be the last!,” he writes.

“My name is Oluguna Juwon, a resident of Ibadan, Oyo State and a Sincere lover of the administration of my darling Governor.

“I wanted to contribute my own quota to the development of the State and the re-election Campaign of Governor Seyi Makinde, as a private citizen and being a sport enthusiast and practitioner, I offered my Sport platform which is Oluwajuwon Fitness Ventures in conjunction with Clementina Gym to organise a Military and Paramilitary Games in Oyo State so as to foster unity between the Military and Paramilitary forces in Oyo State.

“I have been organising and hosting this program singlehandedly for the past 4 years and it has always been a success due to the large turnout of all the Military and Paramilitary forces in Oyo State .

“I decided to tag the 5th edition of the program to the State Government by naming it SEYI MAKINDE MILITARY AND PARAMILITARY GAMES IN OYO STATE which I think will boost the good image of the present Administration in Oyo State.

“I therefore met with the Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Oyo State to discuss my idea which is to organize a Military and Para – Military game in honor of His Excellency and he seemed very interested in the concept I shared with him, little did I know that I was making a choice I would later regret.

“We had a beautiful discussion and at some points, the Chief of Staff to the Governor was involved in our conversations. I submitted a proposal and even did comprehensive presentations to the commissioner for Youths and Sports and the Chief Of Staff to the Governor and Myself and my team were advised by both the Chief of Staff and the Commissioner to reduce the quoted figures and amount and to also remove some things from the proposal and these we did without delay.

“The commissioner for Youths and Sports gave us a directive to meet a certain director at the Oyo State Sports Council and after meeting with the director, we were asked to reduce our figures to a certain amount that the government will be willing to pay. We were assured that the governor was interested in the project.

“I was assured that when the approved funds are released, I will be contacted and I was already hopeful and anticipating the call as promised by Mr. Seun Fakorede

“I was going about my private businesses when my attention was drawn to a release of activities outlined for Independence Day Celebration by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports and part of the outlined activities included the exact idea I shared with him.

“The concept I shared with both Seun Fakorede and Hon SEGUN Ogunwuyi was used as part of the activities for independence celebrations 2022 and I didn’t know about it.

“I heard that the money approved by the Governor has been released and disbursed and used and I wasn’t carried along. The mistake on my part was that I shared the full concept with them without reserving anything

“I feel very bad, cheated, hurt, concerned and bothered and also very angry. Many people told me Hon. Seun Fakorede usually hijack ideas and creative concepts of people! They told me mine won’t be the first but I am hoping that this will be the last!

“I have other ideas that I want to share that will move the State forward but I don’t want to sit with idea Stealers and Hijackers!

“I want the Governor to help me and not allow his appointees cheat me in vain!
