LAUTHEC Lecturers Withhold Students Results, Begin Strike Over Unpaid EAE Arrears

Lecturers at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso on Monday embarked on strike over
unpaid Earn Academic Allowance (EAA) by the Seyi Makinde led administration.

The Lecturers vowed never to release students results, if the state government continues to lie about their plight.

A lecturer who pleaded anonymous told Oyoecho.com that the state government has been owing the Lecturers since 2013, adding that the late immediate past governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi paid few months before he left in 2019.

According to him, the workers are not ready to resume work until the state government answers them.

He said; “Earn Academic Allowance. this is for excess workload. they have paid the money in other universities both state and federal government schools. they are owing us the money since 2013. Though Ajimobi paid some part of the money but Seyi has not paid us since he was elected in 2019.

“It is because of the money NASU members has shot the senate building that if government resused to pay, they wont allow them to work. but Seyi is claiming that he had paid LAUTHEC whereas, he has not paid. he is lying. That is the same thing he did in Alayande. That was why they shot university since Monday that they wont allow peopple to work.”
